If the option printerfriendly isn't used, there used to be no page
break before the start of the first chapter. This meant that arabic
page numbering (i.e. page 1) started already on the last table of
contents or "list of" page (that should have a roman number like vii).

The PDF version is a vector graphics version of the logotype, unlike
the PNG version (which is a raster version). This gives a sharper
result (mainly visible when printing), but also slightly reduces
the file size of the produced report PDF file.

The logotype has been downloaded from:

Protect fragile parbox in demothesis author field

On some older versions of LaTeX, an error occurs when trying to use a
"\parbox" within the author field of the demothesis:
> ! Argument of \reserved@a has an extra }.

For example, the error occurs on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS when using the LaTeX
packages available in default repositories (i.e. TeX Live 2013/Debian).
It doesn't seem to occur on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (TeX Live 2015/Debian).
