Question regarding storage

Hello! Thanks for the feedback on our project. We have a question regarding one of the points which was brought up by Sahand. He says: Note: I assume you are going to use Firestore and Firebase Cloud Functions. Anyhow, there shall be a Rest API and a data storage solution.

I might not yet be fluent enough in the language of web development and maybe I misunderstand. For storage we plan on using Firebase's Firestore. When it comes to Rest API we are going to be pulling data from SMHI's Open Data database. Would this be enough to fulfill the requirement? Thank you.
